You will be an employee of Kingston University but will be based at the partner company, MacGregor Industries Ltd, Maidenhead.




This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate to develop and integrate an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) from concept to launch and beyond. The core task is to project manage a multi-disciplinary project, involving sensor fusion and sensor integration, embedded system design and implementation and control design, with a view to integrating the resulting systems into a helicopter-based UAS platform.

You will have a first degree (minimum 2:1 or better) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Avionic or Systems Engineering or Software Development, together with a broad-based technical knowledge, gained through degree study and/or work experience. You should have an interest in aircraft and UAS’s, with an understanding of related technical issues. An awareness of commercial considerations is also important.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is a creative, hands-on approach to problem-solving. You will need a high level of motivation and the ability to work alone and in a team.
