Salary £24,152 -£27,183 per annum depending on skills/experience
Fixed term contract for 3 years
This exciting new post will involve working in a multidisciplinary team on decision analytic modelling in specific projects across three workstreams within the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry’s expanding portfolio of work with and for the NHS:
1. Modelling studies to support NHS service developments in Devon and Cornwall within the new Peninsula Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (PenCLAHRC)
2. Evaluation of the cost effectiveness of health technologies for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE)’s internationally lauded Technology Appraisal programme, working as part of the Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG)
3. Evaluation of the cost effectiveness of public health interventions for NICE’s Centre for Public Health Excellence, also located within PenTAG
You will have an excellent first degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. mathematics, operational research, statistics, economics) and experience of developing decision analytic models to tight timescales in order to inform policy. You will have experience of writing for publication and capacity for critical analysis. A higher degree in a relevant field and experience of contributing to research grant applications would be advantageous.
