Buckinghamshire New University and The Red House Group of Practices (RH) have been awarded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funding to conduct this two year strategic project. RH is a large general practice and needs to ensure it is well placed to develop to meet the needs of its patients, staff and the wider community. This project will evaluate how the practice currently performs and identify what needs to be done to meets its future strategic and operational goals. A key element will to analyse how the practice functions in its widest context and identify what needs to be done to ensure its continued success. You will need to evaluate the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) requirements of the Practice, define the people and skills needed, what structural and organisational changes should be made, and what performance management processes need to be put in place to meet the next 5 years or more.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to gain insight into the NHS and in particular general practice while planning, monitoring and managing a valuable research project. The package also includes a generous learning and development allowance and the opportunity to gain the Chartered Management Institute’s Diploma in Management and additional post graduate HR or management qualifications.

You must be a graduate with a 2:1/1st class Honours degree with a good understanding of systems and human resource management, and their internal and external application to organisational structures and practices. Experience of project management and confidence with IT applications (particularly databases) are essential. You will also be a strong communicator, an effective relationship builder and a confident self starter with the ability to work on your own initiative.
