Salary: £28,839 per annum
Heriot-Watt’s Texture Laboratory is seeking to recruit a PDRA for its C-Tex project on Creative Surface Texture Design & Visualisation.
C-Tex will develop methodologies and technology for user-centred multi-modal design and presentation of surface textures and perform cross-disciplinary research on surface texture design and digital presentation.
Requirements
- 1st degree in pure or applied mathematics (1st or 2.1)
- PhD in Computer Vision and Vision Science on visual surface texture (or submission of thesis prior to commencing the post).
- In depth experience of designing and performing psychophysical experiments
- At least two research publications in high profile Vision Science journals
- In depth experience of using eye trackers for psychophysical experiments.
The post is available for 14 months.
