Salary £30747 to £43840 pa – Grade 7/8

We wish to appoint a Lecturer in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. We are particularly interested in someone who can contribute to teaching and research in at least two of the following areas: Environmental Management Systems; Environmental Legislation; Life Cycle Analysis; Environmental Impact Assessments and Sustainability.

You will contribute to teaching mainly on the undergraduate BSc (Hons) Environmental Science degree programmes and various postgraduate courses. You will also be expected to take part in curriculum development and course management as required. The ability to offer some provision in Work-Based Learning would also be expected.

You will be expected to carry out research of international standard in a relevant field and produce appropriate high quality outputs.

You should hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate an excellent track-record in research. It is also expected that you will have some recent experience of working in an industrial or consultancy environment. You should also have some experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
