£32,458 – £43,622 per annum,
Salary can progress to £50,569 per annum, subject to performance
Applications are invited for the above post in the School of Computer Science at The University of Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a £13m initiative which brings together four British universities, Cardiff, Lancaster, Nottingham and Southampton, to develop world-leading work in the field of Operational Research (OR). The LANCS initiative, supported with a Science and Innovation Award from the EPSRC, will bring about a significant expansion of the national research base in OR to build new research capacity and help UK industry to compete in the global market.
Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject, and have an excellent, world class publication record. It is desirable that candidates have a track record of external research funding and collaboration across disciplines. Candidates with experience of theoretical developments at the interface between OR and computer science are particularly welcome to apply.
