£36,715 – £45,155 per annum

The English Language Teaching Centre at the University of St Andrews wishes to appoint a Senior Tutor/Coordinator for their Masters level programmes in ELT and TESOL as a result of the continuing growth of this area of activity in our department. You will coordinate and develop our existing programmes, and will therefore have a strong background in Applied Linguistics with the ability to teach courses across some of the following areas: discourse analysis, teaching young learners, second language acquisition, ESAP, course design, materials design, blended learning, pragmatics, general linguistics, corpus linguistics, testing and evaluation.

You are likely to be qualified to PhD level, or have significant experience in teaching and/or coordinating on comparable programmes, and should be familiar with the British university context. You should also have a teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or Diploma in TESOL. You will be expected to contribute to the School’s teaching programme, and to undertake postgraduate supervision. Applications would be particularly welcome from individuals with both international and UK experience.
