Hours: 9.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday

Pay grade: based on Grade 6, point 30

Payscale: £29,853 pro-rata per annum

Salary notes: Pro-rata weekly rate is £572.52 with 10.74% holiday pay = £634.00

Qualified (TEFL Diploma or MA TEFL/Applied Linguistics), experienced EAP teachers required  for the summer Pre-sessional English language course.

All periods include 4.5 days paid briefing and placement testing of students.  Up to 19 contact hours per week teaching, all materials provided.  Accommodation in a University hall of residence is available, subsidised by ISLC.

You will have:

  • Ability to teach EAP to a range of students with varying English levels (IELTS 4.0-8.0), of different nationalities, particularly from Asia and the Middle East
  • Relevant EAP experience of preparing students for UK higher education
  • Team worker, reliable, flexible, responsible, organised, sensitive, caring, with good stamina

You will have the opportunity to work with guidance and support in a first class centre of excellence for the teaching of EAP.
