You will be part of the Compiler Technology and Computer Architecture Group http://ctca.feis.herts.ac.uk/, which is a fast growing research entity focusing on the areas of Languages, Compilers, Coordination and Distributed Computing. You will be taking responsibility of a project in Coordination Languages and Compilers for which EU funding is available and will participate in any other activities of the Group depending on your interests, capabilities and strengths. You will also be applying for European and possibly UK funding to further the work in your chosen areas. The position is research-only for the first two years, but after that some involvement in teaching will be expected. Interests in teaching will be encouraged on a secondary basis, since the post is primarily in research.

Other duties may include supervision of PhD and Research Masters students, participating in group management, providing leadership to research assistants or junior members of academic staff, making presentations at conferences and strategic meetings, managing international collaboration and taking an active role in shaping up the future of the Group.
