Starting salary: £42,930pa including Outer London Weighting
The School of Engineering and Information Sciences is further enhancing its research, enterprise and teaching portfolio, and seeks dynamic individuals to join their outstanding body of academics and learners. The School has transformed its research, recently winning awards from a wide range of major funders, and is well-known for its innovative programmes and approaches to learning.
Teaching is focused on the brand new Hatchcroft Building at our Hendon campus in north-west London, purpose-built to house new biomedical and computing science laboratories, and the base for a number of world-class research teams. The Hendon campus has had and continues to benefit from considerable investment, making for a vibrant working environment.
As a member of a team of academic, technical and administrative colleagues in the School, you would:
- facilitate learning in the University to the highest quality through teaching, research and administration
- provide academic leadership
- demonstrate outstanding potential in research
- take a leading role in the development and delivery of teaching and make a significant contribution to curriculum development, programme management and consultancy/collaborative links.
You should have:
- a good honours degree together with a PhD, or equivalent research expertise, in a relevant area
- substantial experience in research and teaching
- proven appropriate research record and evidence of a high level of research and publications
- a proven record and positive attitude towards innovative teaching and assessment
- evidence of successful income generation in support of research or knowledge transfer
- good presentation and communications skills and the ability to work well with students and colleagues
- the ability to lead and inspire colleagues in research and curriculum development.
