Systems Modelling of Inflammation in Human Skin
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position in systems biology is immediately available as part of a collaborative project between St John’s Institute of Dermatology (Professor Frank Nestle) and Centre for Bioinformatics at Kings College London.
The aim is to develop experimental data-driven mathematical (biophysically-detailed) models of the intra- and intercellular circuits for immune system responses. The models are expected to improve our mechanistic understanding of the immune system performance under normal and pathological conditions. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have experience in either mathematical modelling, biophysics, bioinformatics or inflammation, a relevant PhD and good communication skills.
This project is a part of ongoing collaboration between biomedical and systems modelling groups offers an exciting opportunity to apply modern developments in systems biology to current needs in translational medicine.
