University of Oxford – Said Business School, Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation
Grade 8: Salary £36,532 – £43,622 with a discretionary range to £47,666 p.a.
The Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation is a leading independent, interdisciplinary research centre that undertakes a broad research programme related to business taxation, including the impact of taxes on firm behaviour and the welfare effects of such behaviour, the design of taxation and fiscal policy. It has around 10 full-time researchers, and a large network of international research fellows from the world’s leading universities. It receives generous funding from business and the UK Economic and Social Research Council. The centre is based at the Oxford University Saïd Business School, and has close links with the departments of economics, law and politics.
The fellow, who should undertake independent and joint research in a relevant aspect of business taxation, will be expected to lead significant project areas, to contribute fully to the life and activities of the centre by providing supportive guidance and occasional supervision to more junior staff and students, and to make a significant contribution to research grant applications.
The Research Fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation will be engaged in or will have completed a MSc or PhD in an area related to business taxation, including economics, law, finance and accounting. Candidates with interests in any aspects of business taxation will be considered. However, candidates with research interests in the economics of business taxation may be preferred. This is a fixed-term post for three years.
