The Graduate School of Social and Political Science is a leading social science research institution, with 180 academic staff and 450 postgraduate students. We provide ESRC recognised research training and one-to-one supervision in a number of areas and centres such as Politics, Science & Technology Studies, Social Policy/Childhood Studies, Social Work, Sociology, the Scottish Social Anthropology Consortium and the Centre for Research on Families and Relationships.
Each award covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. The awards do not cover maintenance expenses. Subject to satisfactory progress, the awards are tenable for up to three years.

To apply you must first submit an application for admission to the School of Social and Political Science.
You must submit your application for admission by *26 February 2010*. You are strongly advised to submit an application well in advance of this date as incomplete applications will not be considered after this date.
