University of Aberdeen – School of Geosciences
The School of Geosciences is one of three Schools within the College of Physical Sciences, University of Aberdeen. The School covers the disciplines of Archaeology, Geography & Environment, Geology & Petroleum Geology, and Spatial Planning & Rural Surveying.
We are inviting applications at the scale of Lecturer to work with colleagues both within the Archaeology discipline and more widely in the College. The candidate should have a proven track record of theoretically-aware research and publication.
We seek an applicant working with prehistoric and/or historic periods in any of the following areas: northern Eurasia, the Eastern Arctic of North America, the Northwest Pacific rim (especially Japan and Korea), Scandinavia and Finland.
We are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate engagement with Northern indigenous and/or descendant communities.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 scale (£36,532 – £43,622 per annum) with placement according to qualifications and experience.
