The post has been created as a result of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership () between the Organic Recycling Ltd () and the University of Lincoln.
Although the KTP Associate will be formally employed by the University, they will be based at Organic Recycling Ltd (ORL) in Crowland, near Peterborough. Supervision will be managed jointly by ORL and the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Animal Sciences at the University of Lincoln.
Organic Recycling is the largest composting site in the UK, providing a service to between 30 and 35 County Councils and food companies. Established in 1991, plans to expand its business twofold.
The associate for the Knowledge Transfer Partnership will drive and lead a project which aims to develop, select and implement appropriate composting processes and products to double the scale and profitability of composting in response to identified market requirements.
You will need technical and practical knowledge of the use of compost.
