In combination with City of London-based financial services company CDO2 Limited, we are offering an exciting opportunity to develop a career involving the development of leading-edge software and services for the financial sector.
CDO2 Limited provides industry-leading pricing and risk technology to banks, hedge funds and investment firms. The company’s premier financial risk simulation software allows customers to accurately value complex investments and conduct risk analysis.
You will be employed as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate enhancing existing Software as a Service (SaaS) to optimise compute-intensive financial risk analysis software. CDO2 Limited have a proven track record in developing SaaS for large-scale analysis of financial data using state-of-the-art computing technologies such as Clouds and Grids, and you will gain valuable first-hand experience with such systems. This is a rare opportunity, involving substantial training opportunities and benefits associated with a KTP, to gain industrial exposure to the computational challenges of financial modelling, and to develop towards a managerial role.
The post is for a period of up to 24 months, with the possibility of employment with CDO2 beyond this. CDO2 also offers a profit-related bonus scheme for which you would be eligible.
Ideally, you will be a recent graduate, or expecting to graduate soon, with a BSc or higher qualification in a Computer Science or Mathematics-related discipline, strong programming skills, demonstrably motivated, and with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate should be available to start on or after 1st February 2010.
