The Intelligent Systems Research Centre (ISRC) is a major research unit within the Faculty of Computing and Engineering at the Magee campus. The ISRC is dedicated to the creation of intelligent computational systems, taking inspiration from, and learning from, biology, psychology and neuroscience. The work of the Centre is directed at achieving a greater understanding of biological signal processing and the translation of critical aspects of that knowledge into computational systems that are capable of learning, evolving, adapting, self-organising and communicating effectively with humans and other machines. We now wish to expand our research team by the following appointment(s).

£24,891 – £29,721 Research Assistant

The post(s) are related to computational modelling of brain and cognitive disorder, and neurodegeneration. The postholder(s) will investigate high level behavioural or functional software modelling of relevant brain component areas. Expertise in computational modelling of biological signals at various levels of abstraction and information processing in humans is essential.
